AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS

Section Summary

ESSA Update

``(a) In General.--There are authorized to be appropriated to carry 
out this subpart $1,650,000,000 for fiscal year 2017 and $1,600,000,000 
for each of fiscal years 2018 through 2020.
    ``(b) Forward Funding.--Section 420 of the General Education 
Provisions Act (20 U.S.C. 1223) shall apply to this subpart.''.
